ABILITIES & WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS
Enhanced Speed
Even in six inch platforms, Robin can run faster than even technically "fast" humans. Ask them how it is running through the streets of Berlin in stilletos sometime.
Enhanced Strength
Though Robin looks ridiculously delicate (and they may, perhaps, play on that a bit), they are actually quite strong.
Enhanced Senses
They hear well, they see well, they can generally scent things on the air... they don't even remember what any of those things were like as a human.
Mental Ability: Compel Humans
Vampires have the innate ability to compel humans. It's a useful skill for those that require blood to sustain their own life.
Sire Gift: Minor Telepathy
Robin mostly gets impressions about what people are thinking about, or their feelings when they are being spoken to. They have used the ability to carefully steer interactions with new people, and don't intend to stop anytime soon.

WEAKNESSES
Allergic to Sunlight
Sunlight does more than just give a vampire a sunburn. Too much can and will literally set them on fire. If you've ever seen it happen, you never want to see it again, and the thought of experiencing it is literally the worst thing in the universe.
Can be Killed by Beheading
Much like... most creatures in the known universe?
Can be Killed by Wooden Stake
A stake through the heart is one of the easiest ways to dispach a vampire. Please don't. Robin is not a fan of the idea.
THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE
Robin is full of energy. They bounce around like a bouncy ball, filling the world with the sunshine they can't sit around in. Robin also has a penchant for dying their hair in crazy colors. That would be enough to draw attention, anyway, but then they add to it that they're often seen in dramatic outfits and tall tall boots. Platforms are not out of the question. Six inches added to their 5'7" frame should make them imposing as all hell, but the big smile and constant chatter makes that the furthest thing from their truth.

PERSONALITY
Robin has been called "a shot of adrenalin", "six pounds of cocaine in a tiny body", and "like that fucking powerpuff girl come to life". The thing is, they aren't always happy. There's been plenty of times they were sad or angry or frustrated, but it doesn't make sense to them to stay that way for long. Why dwell on the negative when there's so much more to the world?

Robin is a workaholic, dedicated to keeping things running properly in the business they run with their best friend, Callum. It takes a lot of monitoring things, organizing, and lists. So many lists. Robin has been a list-maker forever. They love when things are organized. It makes life so much easier to deal with. Plus, you never have to wonder where things are! You just reach where it's supposed to be, and there it is!

Robin is a huge flirt. Doesn't matter who is around, if you're interesting, you're getting flirted with. Some might call Robin a slut, or maybe just the life of every party, and they are perfectly happy with either of those labels.

When it comes to morals, Robin doesn't really feel like they have any place to judge anyone else's. After all, they make their living by being a slave trader, survives on blood, and is best friends (and in business) with someone who butchers people for profit. You do you, honey. Just don't push your morals on them, because... well... Fuck Around and Find Out.

APPEARANCE
Smallish out of the crazy shoes, and full of color. Robin loves skirts (especially pastel mini-skirts!), frilly shirts, big boots, things that lace up, and corsets. There's also the more dramatic side, where they are all black clothes and huge collars, spiked jewelry, and ouija board print t-shirts worn under velvet jackets. Their hair is either white blonde (naturally) or dyed in whatever colors float their boat at the moment.

They are constantly smiling, forever bouncing from place to place, and playfully "tripping" over their own feet (it's 1000% an act, meant to get attention. It works more often than you'd think!). At clubs, they have a drink in their hand super often, usually bought by someone else.

In work mode, Robin is still colorful, but puts on a more serious face. When working on actual business stuff, they carry a bag with an organizer, their lists, and a bunch of colorful pens.

BUSINESS & HOME
The corner of Bleecker and Mott Street, a six story building that is a lobby/meeting room floor, four floors of slaves waiting to be sold, a basement (Robin would rather not discuss what goes on down there. They're fine with it, but they stay away from it most of the time) and one floor of home.

The top floor holds Robin and their business partner/boss/best friend Callum. Each of them have their own bedroom, and they share all of the public areas of the floor with each other. Robin's bedroom is a riot of color, and full of soft, comfortable things. Soft fluffly rugs in bohemian-style patterns, tons of pillows on the bed (always perfectly organized), puffy comforter with throw blankets tossed over it, and two floor pillows. The closet doors are always closed, but when they are opened up, it's full of color, too. All of the clothes are organized, of course, and the colors go in some order that only makes sense to Robin (It's not rainbow, it's not by brightness, but it makes some kind of sense, somehow.)

Robin did all of the decorating for all of the condos in the building, and has a lot of pride in that fact. Though the condos are made to be anonymous, that doesn't mean that Robin slacked in the design. Each of them is differently decorated, and they had a field day shopping for everything.

HISTORY
August of 1870 brought Theresa Carys to Toulouse, France with her parents and older brother's family. It also brought the end to the pregnancy that Theresa had denied to both herself and everyone around her. The baby, name Robin Francis, was born a surprise and the tiny baby was pale and obviously early. Theresa's father demanded to know who the child's father was, and the name that spilled from the seventeen-year-old surprised exactly no one. Louis Ward had been courting Theresa, and though the family had done their best to keep them from being together alone, that hadn't always been possible-as was clear from the baby swaddled and held to its mother chest.

The family returned back to the Montana Territory in early September, and within a week of their return, Theresa was married to the father of her child, and the two of them settled into an uncertain new marriage that had started in such a scandal.

Louis was an unusual father for the time, doting on the baby and often unwilling to give them up from the time he got home until the time he had to go to bed. Theresa often found herself amused when she'd finish feeding Robin, and Louis immediately held his hands out to take the baby again. She adored their small family, and thrived in her husband's attentions to both herself and the baby.

The Ward family grew by two more children in the ensuing years, and Robin adored their siblings from the moment they knew each one was coming. Estella Christine was born when Robin was five, and she was the perfect picture of a little girl with pale blonde hair rag-curled into ringlets at her request at least once a week. She was spirited and silly and it tore Robin to shreds when she died. She was six years old and on the way home from their grandparents' house when she tripped and fell, cutting open her leg on a rusted nail. In just over a week, a fever had taken her, and the family was thrust deeply into mourning.

Louis shut down in a way that made little sense to his remaining children, seperating himself from them emotionally and leaving both of them confused and hurt by his abandonment. The relationship between Robin and their father would never recover from the disconnect. A mere five years after Estella's death, Louis died after a short illness. Robin decided to stop going to school and take care of the family, but their grandparents decided instead to take on the responsibility to support their mother and younger sibling, and insisted that Robin continue to study. By the time graduation came, they had given Robin a choice. Either they could work toward taking over the Carys general store, or they could go on to university. It was Grandma and Grandpa Ward's desire that Robin work toward becoming a lawyer, but once they were attending university, they instead studied business. University did allow them to learn a few more things than simply the way of business, and they were drawn to the arts in their free time. Though they were never what one might call a success in art, they did sell a few small pieces to friends and teachers before graduation, and then they returned home to try to start an actual life.

When Robin was home again, they started exploring the possibilities the world could offer them. Though it wasn't often spoken of, Robin found themselves drawn to all manner of people, and though it was something that was likely to cause another scandal, they often shrugged it off as something they'd been born into. Scandal to scandal, they supposed. What was one more?

In 1895, a friend (well, more than a friend, really, but the family often referred to the man as Robin's friend) offered to take Robin with them to travel the world. Within two months, they had packed up and started their journey together, and Robin very much felt they had finally found their place. Exotic locales and beautiful accents surrounded them constantly. It was magical. They and their companion spent long evenings drinking wine and eating rich foods, and then they would go back to their hotels and spend time simply enjoying each other.

Late one night, Robin woke up to an empty bed, and when they got up to try to find their paramour, they stumbled into the streets of the small Italian city they were in and found something much darker. At first, they thought perhaps they were going to be killed by the man that stepped from the shadows, but then they were offered something much different. Not death... or at least, not just death, but the chance to be more. Live long, eat well, as a cult of some kind in a scary book would say years and years in the future. Though Robin thought about it for a few days, eventually they found the man again and agreed to the terms of the offer.

Robin returned home in 1897, and when they were there everything had changed. Their little sister begged and pleaded with them to explain what had happened and though Robin tried to stop all lines of questioning, eventually the sibling sat together and discussed the new reality of the elder sibling's life. Lily didn't seem shocked by the changes in her sibling, but that didn't stop Robin from trying to put more distance between them. It was the safest way, they claimed, but Lily was adament that they had lost enough time together. There was one sure way to ensure neither of them would ever lose each other again.

All it would take was one simple act, and then Robin would truly be a monster.

Quite simply Robin would be the one to kill their sister, and to bring her back. It was one thing to kill for survival, to feed on the lesser, but it was quite another to murder their baby sister and turn her into the same type of creature as they had been turned into.

It took a few weeks, many talks, and a few arguments, but eventually Robin agreed. They did research to be sure they did everything properly. And after they were certain they could perform the whole thing properly, they did. It was hard to pretend that everything was fine, but when Lily's human existence ended, Robin laid their head on their arms and wept in fear and sorrow. And then Lily woke up. It was now Robin's job to teach Lily the things they had been taught by their own Sire in the time between their awakening and their return home.

All was not perfect, even though Robin had done exactly as Lily had asked, but the siblings did spend a lot of time together learning together how best to move through the new world they inhabited. For a while, it was almost peaceful between them. But peace couldn't last, and eventually both of them had to take a step away from each other or wind up destroying each other on sheer principle.

Wanderlust was something Robin had dealt with for a long time, and eventually they decided to start traveling again. During their travels, they heard many a story of other creatures much like them, and eventually they would meet one who had been whispered about in reverent and fearful tones. The thing was, Robin wasn't afraid of the man they found themselves in front of, but they did think him interesting, intriguing, and intelligent. Somehow, conversations turned to an almost grudging respect. Eventually, Callum and Robin went into business together, and though Robin isn't super into the goings-on of the bottom floor of the building they currently live and work in, they know very well what's happening down there (and are perfectly fine with it, as long as they aren't expected to come join in on the butchery aspect of things. Thank you, but no.)

Robin's entire life is about a few key things. The business, Callum, Lily, feeding, hard work, and the colors of their world. Everything else is secondary at best, and ignored if at all inconvenient. Most times the things ignored include pesky little things like emotions other than joy, and if you think that means they're unfeeling or cold, well... that's your own biases, isn't it, sugar? They actually feel quite deeply, they just don't share those feelings with many people at all. Even Callum doesn't see them cry, after all, and he's their best friend.

As for Lily, she and Robin spent many years apart, each having their own lives, but they've always kept in contact. Once things with the business settled into a normal groove that didn't need quite as much attention, Robin could focus more on their baby sister, and started demanding more time with her. They feel like they finally have a real family again, and it's caused a real sense of peace in their soul, which they had never noticed had been missing until it was found.

Wars, after all, have the most annoying way of breaking out more often than you'd expect. They aren't "wary" but they are careful (at least, underneath the show and glamour of themselves), as they have been since the moment their human life ended and their vampire life began.
