STYLE
It depends on the day, but his general style is pretty much "biker with the occasional soft edge". He wears his leather jacket almost constantly, loves torn up jeans, has two pairs of motorcyle boots that are perfectly worn in, and practically lives in band t-shirts. When it gets cooler, he'll wear sweaters under the jacket and he wraps handmade scarves around his neck. If he's being sassy or just wants to impress someone, he's all guyliner and gold jackets, and it's always worked for him thus far.

POWERS

Human Form → Every dragon has the ability to mask themselves as a human. It has been a safety for many generations of the species.

Fire Breath → Used almost exclusively as a weapon.

Near Invulnerability → In dragon form, there is only one sure way to kill a dragon, a weak spot on its body. That spot is different for all dragons.

Enhanced Speed → Runs fast, flies fast, reacts fast. Footraces in human form are fun.

Enhanced Senses → Sense of smell is generally double humans', has more than perfect eyesight, can hear the crack of a branch from much further away than seems possible

Flight → Dragons generally have the ability to fly, unless there is some damage to their wings. Flight is something that allows a dragon to truly feel like themselves in a world that has, in the past, made that a difficult thing.

WEAKNESSES

Weak Point → Just below his right shoulder blade. It is the one place he's truly vulnerable when in dragon form.

Maintaining Human Form → To maintain strength, he has to return to dragon form often. Long periods as his human form make him weak and sluggish

Vulnerability in Human Form → In human form, he can easily be killed, just like any other human

Maintains a Hoard → Audrik's hoard is bladed weapons (knives, swords, daggers, etc). When he is away from the hoard too long, he begins to feel a great deal of discomfort, and if anything is removed from the hoard, he will search to the ends of the earth to find it.

Susceptable to Cold → As a Gold (fire breath) dragon, the cold makes him weak if he is in it for a prolonged period. He detests being cold, and in human form will be wrapped in layers the second the temperature goes below 50 degrees F.

HISTORY.

LYRIC OR QUOTE

Audrik Erich Meyer was born in 1695 in Lüneburg to Erich and Liliana, a married couple of gold dragons. They had been married for nearly two hundred years when they finally had him, and they'd endured many a gentle (and not so gentle) prodding about continuing on the species from parents and friends. Though once Audrik had arrived, they only waited another 15 years to have their second child, Petra. Audrik was terribly fond of his little sister from the start, and the two of them grew up close.

Nothing in the universe made Pets happier than when Audrik was finally able to hold his human form for a time, and she could cuddle with her "human" brother. It was novel for her, so she begged him to do it constantly, and he allowed it simply due to his devotion to her. Many early evenings were spent in

He waited until Pets was grown enough to hold her own human form for extended periods before he decided to try to make it in the world on his own. He knew Pets was old enough to not need her big brother all the time, so he decided to be a little bit selfish. But he stayed close enough that if she needed his protection, he would be available immediately.

Pets decided to move to the North American continent just after Virginia became the 10th US state. She wanted to settle in the new state, but Audrik wasn't overly fond of the area, so he moved to the Northern states, promising Petra he would visit her as often as he could. The two of them did find time to see each other, much more frequently than most US citizens did at the time. Being able to fly helped that immensely.

Audrik didn't spend the ensuing years alone, by any means, but he did find it difficult to fully open up to people, as it was hard to explain why he couldn't just stay with them all the time. Explaining that 'hey, your boyfriend needs to be a dragon sometimes, or he gets weak and sickly' wasn't exactly... easy. It did help when he found other supernatural creatures, as they could understand the varied issues that came with the need to hide who they were. Audrik fell in love with a shifter, but it ended poorly. Then he met and fell desperately in love with a green dragon, who he was with for nearly 30 years. That ended amicably, and the two of them walked away from the relationship still considering themselves friends.

When the war came, Audrik stepped up to help where he could, though he leaned far more toward the idea that supernaturals shouldn't have to hide themselves, rather than that they were by their very natures superior to humans. He fully understood the way the council decided to manage things, of course (he had, after all, seen the things humans were willing to do to people or things they deemed "different"), but once the war was over, he found himself turning to his sister's home, and he settled into her bustling household near the Appalachian Mountains. He found a great deal of peace being brother-in-law to Petra's husband, and Uncle Audrik to two nephews.

But everyone needs more than just being something for everyone else. A day finally came that Audrik wanted something for himself, and he went looking. First, he moved to his own place. It was a "tiny home" (or so the ad had deemed it), and he tucked his few possessions into the cubbies and cabinets provided. Then he went looking for someone to spend time with. In a small town in a back-woods bar, not long after the search began, he ran across a very intriguing man. Gorgeous, funny, sexy... and though he often acted much less intelligent than he actually was, which made Audrik roll his eyes, it somehow made him all the more charming than he should have been.

In six weeks time, Audrik had spent more time with the warlock than he had spent with anyone in that way in a long time. And he found himself yearning for Stone when they were apart. His heart was getting involved where he'd expected only his body to be the guide, and he started withdrawing a little. He wasn't ready to care about someone.

Of course, that didn't really stop his heart from racing a little every time he and Stone touched, nor did it quell his constant desire for the other man. He'd almost decided to give in when he woke up one day and realized with a start that he was missing something. A very specific something, in fact. A familial blade from the 16th century that was a part of his hoard was gone, and in it's place was a piece of paper with a smiley face and a heart. Stone had stolen from him, and his desire for the other man turned immediately to a desire to find him and take back what was his.

He followed the trail of Stone's travel to New York, and when the trail ended there, he decided to settle there in hopes that the trail would light up again. It was a matter of principle to get his blade back, and a matter of pride to drag Stone back and punish him thoroughly for the sheer audacity he'd shown.
