JAMES → Aaron was 16, and James was 17. They dated for almost a year, and then split up. Their relationship was mired in drama, like most teenage relationships are. They've met up in the years since, and they're friendly enough with each other.

HENRI → Henri was a French transfer student who was in the high school for Aaron's Senior Year. They dated for four months before Henri was caught by Aaron's friends in a... shall we say "compromising position". Apparently, Aaron was "uptight" for feeling betrayed, so that was that.

ANDREW → Andrew was in his 20s and Aaron was barely 18. It was thrilling. Both of them were in it for the fun of it all, and they only "dated" because it was nice to have someone to call up and say "hey, I'm going out to ______, want to come with me?".

KYLE → Second year of college. Kyle is a trans-man, and they met through friends. They had a great relationship (18 months), and probably would have continued to date, but Kyle wound up switching colleges to move closer to home, and they bought though the distance thing would be too difficult. They're still in contact online, and keep up with each other's lives.

DIA → Dia is the only woman that Aaron has ever dated. They dated for almost two years, but when they started discussing marriage and children, they realized how diametrically opposed on a lot of their feelings. It was crushing, but it was better to have figured it out before they went through a marriage (and subsequent divorce, no doubt)

ALDEN → Aaron was going for the complete opposite of Dia, in every way. They dated for three years before Aaron realized it was never going to work out in the "forever and ever, amen" way. THEY weren't exactly diametrically opposed, but they weren't really a match, either.
